Dolomite

Dolomite is a lovely pink mineral that helps the thought process and heals the body on the cellular level. It encourages original thought. With the assistance of Dolomite you will be able to see new ways to resolve daily issues and set your goals with more clarity. This is important. With more sharply focused goals, you will be able to manifest the results more quickly. The process can be like this. The need to do something occurs to you. Within a few seconds a solution enters your thoughts. While holding your dolomite or having it very near, wait for a minute or two. A new thought will come through that is a much better solution than the first. Dolomite also helps you accept those “bad” things in your life by realizing that everything happens for a reason. Like citrine, garnet and labradorite, it encourages self-confidence. It also promotes charitable action on your part.
Dolomite helps to heal the body from the inside out. It assists in building stronger blood cells and general cell structure. It strengthens the teeth, bone, nails and skin. Dolomite can be used for enhancing muscles. It can stabilize and balance your physical energies and block outside energies from disrupting the body. It helps to provide more oxygen for the lungs to distribute throughout the body. It eliminates irregular cells. It also helps with proper digestion.
Dolomite can be used as a stone next to your skin or within your aura, about 2 to 3 feet around you. It is also used as an elixir. To make the elixir place some clean water in a bowl or glass bottle. Place the cleaned stone in the water and let it sit in the sun for 3 days covered to keep out dirt and dust. Drink the elixir when you want the affects already discussed. Placing a large sample of Dolomite by the front door can extend this effect to a room or an entire home.
Stromatolite

During my recent open house one of my dear friends discovered a hidden treasure. Buried in the boxes of tumbled stone was a bag of Stromatolite. I picked them up a few years ago and then completely forgot about them. What a treasure to find. Between research, experimentation and intuition here is what we found.
Stromatolite is a stone consisting of layers of sediment and fossilized blue green algae. These samples were harvested in Western Australia and date back over 3.5 billion years. Through the process of photosynthesis they turned sunlight into oxygen. It is believed to be the oldest life form found on Earth and was responsible for filling our atmosphere with oxygen, the building block needed to bring forth life as we know it. Along with their natural beauty, this is reason enough to have a sample of Stromatolite in your collection.
Stromatolite has many useful attributes today. It is used to assist in past life meditations to bring our antiquity into sharper focus. It can be used on every chakra to open the ones that are closed. Stromatolite can be employed to relieve emotional and physical stress. It also helps in getting the body fluids moving properly again after they have become sluggish or blocked. Used as an elixir, it is a good general tonic, clears the throat and improves vision. It also helps to strengthen the aura.
The best of all attributes is that Stromatolite is a grounding stone, different from any other. It is a “soft” grounding stone. Smithsonite is the crystal for mind and heart. When the challenges of life begin to weigh us down, Smithsonite is here to calm the nerves and relax the mind. It soothes emotions, reduces stress and instills self worth. It promotes kind thoughts. The kindness that emanates from this crystal favors positive outcomes. What is on our mind is what we manifest. In this fashion Smithsonite favors new beginnings. If what we have been doing hasn't brought us peace and joy, Smithsonite is here to help us change direction. It can help us realize self-love. It also helps us give and receive love more freely.
When placed on the crown charka, Smithsonite will bring all of the other charkas into alignment, into peaceful harmony and enlightenment. Infinite

Infinite is a very gentil healing stone. ait is soothing and calming for the body and nervous system. It draws out pain where it is applied. Infinite is a stone that can be used continually to remove chronic pain. It works well removing pain in joints and tendons, and helps to restore them after significant loss over time. Infinite is a soft stone that absorbs negativity. It is very successful in treating skin disorders. This gentle stone used frequently can have a more lastng effect than the more powerful stones used only occasionally. Because it is used for long periods of time, Infinite needs to be cleansed more frequently thanmost stones. This cleansing can be accomplished in many ways such as exposure to full sunlite or full moonlight for 3 days with the intentionof cleansing and cleaning. Any other method of cleansing that you normally use will also be effective with Infinite.
Infinite can be used to enhance the medatative state. Its calming effect is helpful for reaching a deeper level of meditation. Infimite can be used on any chakra to bring peace and balance. In order for infinite to be most effective, you will need to keep it in focus to begin with. Place Infinite on an affected area of teh body and concentrate of meditate on this area and the stone being used. After this initial application, Infinite can be kept on this area for extended periods of time without the initial constant attention.
We know that if we desire something strong enough and focus our intention on attaining it, our desire will eventuallybe manifested. Rhodochrosite...It's about Love - love of self and others, love of animals, birds and fish, love of trees, plants, crystals and minerals. As our Native American kin would say, "all my relations". Rhodochrosite transmits the strongest power in the all of creation, the power of love. It begins by increasing our sense of self worth and love of self. What a good place to start. How can we really love others unless we love ourselves first? How can we expect to export to the world what we don't have within? In this case, it helps us discover underlying circumstances that are not apparent on the surface. Rhodochrosite gently fills us with the knowing that we have great value. Our self worth increases to the point that our personal confidence is enhanced. Once we feel good about ourselves, we are able to see the value of our neighbors, not judging them by what they wear or their station in this life. This expands even further to all mankind around the world as we begin to appreciate foreign customs and thought patterns. This also encompasses all my relations. All this can be ours with the help of Rhodochrosite, if we allow it to happen.
Rhodochrosite helps to increase our creativity and intuition. As our awareness expands we are able to see the larger picture of our lives. Our fears and limitations begin to dissolve when we realize that we are their authors. With the help of Rhodochrosite we are able to more clearly identify our personal truth and speak it. Said differently, Rhodochrosite brings universal love to the heart, 4th chakra, making it easier to identify your personal truth. The third eye, 6th chakra, is also opened enhancing your spiritual vision. Following, the 4th and 6th chakras affects the 5th chakra, the throat, where our truth is projected to the world. This universal love is what purifies the chakras and encourages truth to come forth. Rhodochrosite also has a calming effect on the solar plexus, 3rd chakra, where we store our fears and stress. As the solar plexus relaxes our fears are released and our stress level is reduced. Rhodochrosite is frequently used on those recovering from heart surgery. As the universal love is brought in, the physical heart is strengthened, making the pumping process less difficult.
Although Rhodochrosite is fairly rare, small hand size samples carved into balls and eggs are available, as well as tumbled stones. These sizes are good for use in meditation, laying on of hands and placing under the pillow to enhance the dream state. I have felt for a long time that this is a stone of importance and should be included in medicine bags and personal collections. Malachite

My first encounter with Malachite was as a pre-teen in Washington, DC. My family visited a holy shrine that had beautiful malachite pillars. I remember feeling a great peace there, and had the impression that one could pray there without outside interference. I have since learned that malachite, especially in large masses, brings peace to the heart and clearing to the third eye. I use malachite today to benefit from these effects. Like snowflakes, each sample is different. Chunks of malachite carved into balls, eggs and figures have distinctive layers of light and dark green. As I get lost in the waves of color my tension eases and I relax. This relaxation allows the body to heal itself. Malachite is also used to clear and energize all chakras. Malachite absorbs negativity, and must be cleared frequently. Quartz crystals placed next to the malachite bring in the cleansing energy of love to restore the mineral to its proper strength.
Malachite is an amplifier of moods. If you are in a good mood, it will lift you even higher. If you are in a not so good mood, it will amplify that. This may not sound encouraging. As the upsetting mood increases, it becomes easier to identify the source of this negativity, making it easier to deal with. Malachite will further open the third eye, making it possible to see the solution with much greater ease. This is not negative at all. Malachite is a great ally in deeper cleansing.
Malachite is usually found in large masses as discussed above. Far more rare is the malachite that grows in crystalline form. These tiny crystals appear as small needles, some growing side by side, some in a circular array, and some in what seems to be total disorder like a pile of pick up sticks. This is the form that I love the most. This form of malachite is far more fragile than that found in large masses and must be handled with great care. As I examine my crystalline samples, a meditation takes place. I get lost in the maze of crystals and frequently find the image of the answer I am seeking. As I give my attention to the malachite, creative ideas begin to form. These ideas relate to the solution to questions that have been on my mind and in my heart. They are the seed for new thought concepts, the creative solutions to my questions.
Malachite is copper in an oxidized form. Like copper, it is a great conductor of energy. This conductive property allows malachite to absorb negative energy and pass it on to Mother Earth for processing. Malachite stones are used on each chakra and on any area of the body that is in distress. Here again, malachite is an amplifier. In this case it is amplifying positive healing energy from the universe. An elixir can be made with polished tumbled stones to rinse the gums and teeth, preventing or curing gum disorders. THIS ELIXIR IS NOT TO BE SWALLOWED. Malachite is copper which can act as a poison. The polish on the stones prevents the small bits of malachite from entering the solution. But the healing energy still fills the water, and is very effective.

Celestite

I have had samples of Celestite in my home for many years. Originally I brought them in because of their beauty. It is the most beautiful light blue crystal, sharp and clear. This is the first attraction of Celestite for most people. The stone is not very hard, causing it to become scratched with rough handling. Celestite is not mounted in jewelry as a semiprecious stone for this reason.
Celestite works with the mind. Its soft vibration calms the thinking process as it opens the third eye for spiritual insight. When our thinking is in the "running wild" mode, Celestite is here to calm, comfort and bring simple solutions to fearful circumstances. In this manner Celestite decreases negativity in thought. It also acts as a filter for external noise, that mindless chatter and sounds of the surrounding society that tend to distract the clear thinking process.
Celestite is a stone of communication. It can enhance your communication with your angels and guides during meditation. By holding your Celestite, the chatter of your mental activity will be lessened, opening the door for a deeper and more meaningful meditation. Answers to your questions will surface more easily. When I gaze into my Celestite during my quiet time, I can see the crystal clear blue eyes of my angel. The guidance I receive helps to nudge me in the right direction. It also helps with communications between people. Celestite is especially effective in clearing the throat chakra, the place where we speak our truth. As our truth is told with clarity, relationships, both personal and professional, are enhanced at a deep level with less ego involvement.
Sit or lie down and allow yourself to become quiet by taking a couple deep breaths. Place the stone on your throat chakra for a few moments and feel the tension release. Bring to mind a question you have. Now place the stone on your third eye. Shortly your answer will become apparent. You will know it by the joy in your heart. Now you are ready to move forward on this issue and clearly communicate with others.
One last thought, Celestite is a subtle stone that must be allowed to work. It will not take charge. Rather it sooths and opens the mind, throat and heart to angelic guidance with your permission. Back to top
Calcite

Calcite is another wonderful gift from the creator. It appears in many different colors, enough colors to service all of the chakras. I have samples of pink, yellow (golden), green, blue, white and clear. It is a good amplifier of energy. When placed directly on a chakra, calcite will add its energy to the chakra allowing the chakra energy to spin more freely. As the chakras begin to fully spin, the aura expands and a step is taken toward better health. I have used it to enhance my Reiki by holding the stone in my hand during a Reiki healing session. I also place calcite samples on the area of the body that most needs healing while applying Reiki. Calcite gives other stones a boost in their effectiveness. I have used blue calcite in conjunction with aquamarine on the throat chakra to promote healing and enhance clear speech.
Calcite is a stone used for purification on many levels. When used on the first and second chakras, pink calcite draws out negativity. On the third chakra, yellow (golden) calcite helps to release impurities from the internal organs. These impurities cause our bodies to function with less efficiency. Calcite helps to purify the blood. On the forth chakra green calcite allows the heart to receive and express Divine love. On the fifth and sixth chakras blue calcite removes confusion, allowing for clearer communications from the universe to us as well as our communications to others. When white calcite is used on the crown chakra, a clear path is open to receive universal love, wisdom and knowledge. Clear calcite is effective on all chakras.
When used during meditation calcite will clear away the mental static, which many of us experience while trying to concentrate. In doing this it enhances your thinking. It removes emotional blocks, such as fear and self doubt, allowing us to go forward with confidence. Calcite also shows us the way to receiving new energies, breaking the boundaries of our old belief system. As our limiting thoughts fade away we can expand our horizons. Calcite brings happiness.

Wavellite

Wavellite is a mineral that assists in making decisions. I don't mean the decisions on what to have for breakfast or what to wear to work today. I mean the deeper decisions that your quality of life may hinge on. Career path and love relationships are but two of these examples. There are many stones that help in the decision making process. Wavellite is the only one that I know of that works at your root level. It helps you journey within yourself to discover your uniqueness. When making decisions we logically gather our facts and weigh them carefully. With Wavellite I find that my focus is distracted from this pinpoint of facts and replaced with a much larger picture to examine. Wavellite shows me a much broader landscape of myself concerning the decision to be made. It shows me how this decision fits into who I really am down deep, not just my surface image. Important decisions that may change your life must fit who you really are, not just the circumstances of the day. For example, if you are considering a career change because what you are currently doing is causing too much stress in your life, Wavellite will help you identify what field you would be happier in. With the use of Wavellite during meditation, you may discover, as an example, that your "calling" is to help other find comfort in their present condition. Then you may discount the path of office clerk and look more to social work. If Wavellite shows you that you are here to raise the vibration of Mother Earth to the next level, you will probably not seek employment as a used car salesman. You would look for something that would put you in daily contact with other like-minded people.
Wavellite doesn't give you just one answer, one path. It will help to reveal several alternate paths. For any deep question, there are several ways to achieve the same goal. Wavellite assist us in bringing these paths out of our inner knowledge. Then we can decide which path is best suited for us. This is an example of Wavellite assisting in the flow of consciousness. It also helps with other flows of the body, flow of energy and flow of blood. It can clear the path for precise thinking. It also helps to cleanse the blood and other body fluids. For me, it is interesting to note that the green color of Wavellite is produced by the mineral vanadium, which also is an aid to the mental process, an example of one mineral helping the other.

Dioptase

Dioptase is a stone for the deep heart. This rich, dark green stone is able to reach down deep into the heart to make the changes necessary for a good life. One of the most noteworthy features of Dioptase is in the area of forgiveness. It assists in the true forgiveness of those who have hurt us deeply. If someone has abused or neglected us time and time again, Dioptase helps in forgiving that person. This forgiveness is a release of others from playing the roll of abusing or neglecting us in one way or another. When they are released, they will no longer repeat the offense. This forgiveness is not an acceptance of what has occurred, but a release to prevent it from happening again. Now you can move on in that area of your life.
Dioptase also helps to heal sadness and heartache. It can't go back in time and change the incident that caused the pain. And it doesn't in any way change the offender. But it does help us in finding a new frame of mind in which to see what has happened. Perhaps in a relationship, we assumed that the other person shared the same degree of commitment that we had. When we found that this was not the case, we took offense and got hurt. Dioptase will show us where we made the mistake in thinking and releases us from the emotions we are feeling. It helps to change this loss into self-love. It works equally well for current situations, ones from our childhood or even past lives. Dioptase also increases self-love by giving us the courage and ability to love more deeply, even unconditionally. This increases our self worth, sincerity and emotional balance. Danburite

I have had Danburite in my personal collection for many years. At a glance, it can be mistaken for quartz. But on examination we find that Danburite has four faces or sides to the crystal, where quartz has six. It has a crisp, bright sparkle that draws attention. This is what first caught my eye. Now I appreciate it for its inner sparkle.
Danburite is a stone that brings enlightenment. When we are overwhelmed with emotion, it will bring clarity to the situation. It accomplishes this by opening the crown and third eye chakras, allowing a more spiritual point of view to be mixed with the emotions of the heart. Understanding replaces fear. The situation does not change, however our reaction to the situation does. Danburite brings a broader spiritual point of view to our life circumstances. The narrow ego-driven vision of life is replaced with spiritual understanding. As we become more aware that we truly are light beings, life does not seem so harsh.
During meditation Danburite brings us to a higher state of consciousness, allowing us to hear our inner truth, that divine light within. When it's time for a big change in life, Danburite facilitates deep change and helps us leave our past behind. This change can include moving on to the next life. It also helps us identify those parts of our character that are still driven by our ego. As these deficiencies are brought up, Danburite shows us how to apply our divine light to overcome this darkness. With this understanding, Danburite helps to clear chronic conditions like allergies or asthma. It helps to detoxify the body and aids motor and muscular functions. It can be made into an elixir used for cleansing the body. It also enhances the electrolytic properties of our body fluids, allowing the fluids of life to flow more easily.

Zincite

Zincite is one of the best minerals to call upon when you need a boost in creativity in the physical, emotional or spiritual realms. It clears blocks in all three areas and directs the natural flow of energy from the universe. Zincite calls in the supernatural force of creativity and manifestation. It helps you realize what is needed in your situation, puts definition to the solution and then helps to manifest it. When a relationship goes sour, Zincite will assist at finding the root cause of the problem, help assemble the structure for repairing the relationship and guide in the implementation of the physical solution. For many years I have heard that Cinnabar attracts money. It is a "merchant's" stone. All you have to do is put a sample of Cinnabar in your moneybox or cash register and money will flow to you. I have found that this is a simplistic view of this wonderful stone. To begin with, Cinnabar works in our minds. It helps us release our inhibition of not being worthy of success. It also helps to erase our social programming of achieving success through a tightly scripted program modeled after an accomplished icon of our fields of endeavor. With the help of Cinnabar we are able think more clearly. Let's say that you are an art dealer. You know painting techniques, color balance and composition. You are familiar with the work of many artists and can address their different styles. With all of this you are able to make some sales. Cinnabar enhances this knowledge with passion. It helps you become more assertive and persuasive without becoming aggressive. When your customer sees your passion, they get excited and are more willing to purchase that right painting. This is how Cinnabar brings money to you.

Garnet

One of the first stones that I was attracted to as a young lad was garnet. My Mom had a garnet ring. At times I would pick it up and stare into the deep red, amazed at its beauty. Over the years I have come to a much fuller understanding of this stone. It offers a wide variety of helps to those who are willing to receive.
Garnet, a deep red stone opens the root chakra and enhances our connection with Mother Earth. It is a stone of purification cleansing the blood by removing toxins, and treating disorder in the heart, lungs, kidneys and gall bladder and strengthens muscles. Garnet assists with removing infections and with low blood pressure. It can be used to stimulate the life-force within and increase vitality by increasing circulation and energizing the nervous system. It protects against negativity. In short, garnet helps to even the flow of energy in the body.
It is a stone of physical protection. With its grounding and attracting the energy of Mother Earth, it gives us above average courage. Garnet has been called upon for courage for a long time. The Crusaders mounted garnets on their shields and buckles, believing that garnet would protect them in battle and gave them the courage to be fearless. Garnet was also used to relieve exhaustion.
Garnet works with issues of the heart. In this area, it begins with strengthening the will and enhancing self-esteem. It inspires mutual attraction by making you emotionally and physically attractive to others because it brings out your best points. Garnet vibrates to the number 2 encouraging partnership. It boosts sexuality and fertility, as well as gentleness and cooperation. This can lead to commitment, devotion and love. It can also renew an old love and revitalize sexuality. It helps in renewing commitment and devotion to your mate. Garnet stabilizes the connection between the spirit and the body. This helps the love to grow from romance to a deep spiritual commitment to each other.

Emerald
We are all familiar with the gemstone Emerald. This deep green stone draws us in from the outside world of chaos to peace, tranquility and love. It soothes our minds, balances our emotions and calms our bodies. These same properties are in the Emerald samples that are not gemstone quality as pictured above. Emerald can enhance our dreams, memory and insight. It can raise our consciousness and improve our psychic abilities. Old emotional scars are erased by this wonderful stone.
